Dear Roomie,
We met in the Facebook group for Manhattanville College admitted students to the class of 2019. I knew I wanted to find a roommate so that I didn't have to go random. I saw you posted something about yourself and it seemed like we had a lot in common so I figured I would be totally awkward and message you. I didn't put much thought into us being roommates at first because I hardly knew you, but after us talking for a little while, I thought we might be a good match as roommates. When I finally asked if you wanted to room together you were so excited and said that you would love to. I was so excited too.
Over the summer we talked almost every day, getting to know each other, and talking about how we would decorate our room. We seemed like we were exactly the same person and I knew before we even met that we had made the right decision.
When move in day came around, I couldn't wait to finally meet you. That day itself was so hectic and we realized that we had so much stuff we didn't know where we were going to fit everything. We settled in and awkwardly had small talk for the first day. I remember you reached down to grab food under your bed and I thought you were praying!
As weeks went by, we went into the city, went on roomie dinner dates and even completely rearranged our room. We were there for eachother through the good bad and the ugly.
From random dance parties during snow storms, to ordering cheesy bread at 12:30 in the morning to stumbling back into the room late at night, our friendship grew and our bond started to become unbreakable.
I knew you had become like a sister to me because we never had any problems. We were always able to be honest to each other. We could tell eachother everything and could trust each other. Trust is important.
We have gone on so many adventures and now are planning on all of our future adventures as well. I know that no matter what our futures have in store for us, I have found a life long friend, and sister in you.
I love you forever.
-Your roomie. XOXO
