When I came to college, I was bombarded with the importance of being organized. I was pretty organized in high school so I didn't pay much attention to these lectures. After my first week of classes, I was completely swamped and stressed. So I invested in a planner. Planning my day and writing down important dates and times really helped me out. I've tried out many different planners, but nothing has worked as well as my Lilly Pulitzer planner. Here are a few ways that my Lilly planner has saved my life.

1) It's something I can never forget.

It's pretty hard to leave behind something that is neon pink and screaming at me from my desk.

2) It's my stress reliever.

I relieve stress by making lists and the eight lines per date helps me do that.

3) It's a conversation starter.

It might sound silly, but do you know how many people love these planners? Tons.

4) It's affordable.

Yes it might be on the pricey side, but with everything it comes with, a good planner goes a long way.

5) It's resilient.

It keeps up with my busy life, it doesn't fall apart even when I am.

6) It let's me focus on what's next.

I physically list my activities, but it's page layout is like a coach cheering you to go onto your next task.

7) It keeps track of important dates.

Do you know when Daylight Savings Time is? Yeah, me either. I see what you did there planner.

8) It keeps me on time.

I write the times, but seeing them on paper is a great reminder not to schedule my nail appointment during my class... again.

9) It let's me see when I have free time.

Again I write the times but it is nice to see that I have a ten minute break at noon.

10) There are all different types of Lilly planners.

Big? Small Yearly? It's whatever you prefer!

11) It isn't like any other planner.

I've tried many different planners. None of them work as well as the Lilly planner. The prints are great, the pages are sturdy, and it is unique to any other planner on the market.

This planner has saved my life and is a reminder to keep me calm. I was apprehensive about it at first, but it has been one of the best investments I've made in college. I love you Lilly planner!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
