1. First, you must not arrive too early to the first party; you need to carefully plan your arrival to accommodate the whole evening. The ideal time to arrive to the first fraternity party is around 10:30 pm. This leaves just enough time to hang out at that house for about an hour before switching to the next party. If you arrive too early, you will experience boys coming and going in towels, finishing their showers or if you’re really lucky, maybe they’ll all just ignore you and pretend you’re not there until the party starts.
2. The next step in properly fropping is to not offend the regulars (you know what I mean). Every frat has their “frat rats,” and the last thing you want to do is get off on the wrong foot with one of them. Just keep your distance and don’t look them straight in the eye.
3. Third of all, don’t be “that girl” on the dance floor. Everyone likes a few little moves here and there, but I promise you no one wants to see anything more than a little booty shaking and some shimmies.
4. When it's time to leave, don’t say bye to anyone. The key is to sneak out as slyly and efficiently as possible so that no one knows you left. This way everyone thinks you were at his or her party all night. Honestly, you don’t even have to talk to anyone… the fact that you showed up is more than enough.
5. While all of this is going on and your night is rockin, make sure that you are snapchatting EVERYTHING. Every moment in the evening must be covered on your snap story. If that story isn’t at least 100 seconds, people will wonder if you even had fun.
6. On top of snapchatting, you must take at least 4 pictures. This is key because you want to make sure at least one turns out perfectly. Then you save the other three for a throw back Thursday picture in the weeks to come. Everyone loves seeing those on their Instagram feeds.
7. You must finish the night by posting the picture of your evening on Instagram. Be sure that the entire fraternity name is spelled out as the location tag.
If you follow these steps very carefully your fropping experience will be one for the books. Just remember, parties come and go, but instagram is forever
