I was inspired to write about this topic due to my favorite movie, "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days." For those of you who have not seen the film — for shame — the movie hits on comedic situations involving what to do and what not to do when you are in a dating relationship. Kate Hudson's character in the movie shows different girl habits that makes a man run for the hills. So I thought it would be fun to write about habits that men have that would scare off any woman. For any guy reading this, this article is meant to help. So pay attention, you just might learn something. You can thank me later.
1. Bad breath
Guys if you are getting all the right signals, and you are planning on going for a goodnight smooch, for the love of all that is holy... bring a mint! Tic-Tacs, gum, mouth wash, anything helps. You want to kiss the girl, not have her pass out, from that ungodly stench that is your breath. If you kiss a girl with bad breath, that will be a night to remember, because that will be your first and last date.
2. Going Dutch
Call me old-fashioned, but if a guy asks out a girl, then he should pay for everything. If it's dinner and a movie, he should pay. If it's bowling and ice cream, he should pay. Girls, if a guy wants you to pay half on everything you two do, then that shows how cheap he is. Guys, it's best not to go dutch.
3. Jobless
Ladies, it doesn't matter how incredibly cute the guy is — if that man does not have any source of income, that's a good indicator that he expects you to pay for everything. He expects you to pick him up because he doesn't have his own car. If he doesn't have a job, that shows his work ethic. Not having a job shows that he expects hand outs, instead of working for them.
4. Checking out other girls
Guys, it doesn't matter how cute you think the waitress is, don't under any circumstance check her out, especially when you are on a date! That shows the girl you are with just how shallow you are. Do not wink or even flirt! Pay attention to your date!
5. Hand outs
Guys, if your girl sees that you are still asking your parents for money, then in her mind, she is thinking that she is still dating a boy. A boy who is not wanting to work hard, a boy who still runs to his mommy and daddy when the funds are low. Getting a hand out from Mom and Pop doesn't exactly win her heart guys.
6. How you talk to your mother
Fellas, if you talk disrespectfully to your mother, first off, you should be slapped. That's your mother! If your girl sees that you are ungrateful and unappreciative of your mother, then she gets a sneak peek at how she will be treated. She may not want to hang around for that. Women are to be treated with the upmost respect and honor, espcially your mothers! They brought you into this world, they'll take you out!
