What's up, fam?

It's been a long, hard grind this first week back at SChool (haha, get it?! #FightOn), with my taking 18 units of classes, teaching three yoga sculpt classes a week, working several production jobs, and participating in several photography, art, music, culture, business, entrepreneurship, and fashion clubs on campus, all the while attempting to hang out with friends and make new ones. However, no matter how busy I am, I always make sure to kick off my semester RIGHT. Here are seven ways to set the tone for second semester as LIT.

1. Go to an awards show.

Golden Globes the day you arrive back in Los Angeles, anyone?

2. Hit the beach with your best friends.

Corral Beach in Malibu is where it's at! There was such a climate conflict, though. #CaliforniaWinter

3. Get into your yoga flow.

I love to hit the mat at CorePower Yoga in WeHo as well as at my #westYS yoga sculpt class held at USC.

4. Go to a live taping of one of your favorite television shows.

Ok, I took my best friend to see a live taping of Kate Hudson guest star on the Late Late Show with James Corden. I rock.

5. Try a new dish at a popular restaurant and make a night out of it.

Sotto, a great Italian neighborhood-vibe restaurant, had an amazing filet.

6. Learn something new.

Bar workouts, headstands, making dreamcatchers, cooking your own vegan recipes, and more.

7. Visit a dope new museum exhibit.

The Keith Haring Car exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in DTLA was epic.

8. Spend lots of time with your favorite people.

As always, quality over quantity. Hang out with those people in your life who are most important to you. It will make every day of the semester fly by !

I'd love it if you guys would direct message me your spin on these seven fun activities!

XO,

ARW

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
