Having a party in college seems like a great idea: all of your friends will be in one place and you won't have to leave the comfort of your own home. However, the next morning will leave you questioning your choice to have your closest friends over for a variety of reasons. Here is a list of eight reasons why you will regret your decision to have a party at your place in college:
- You will be missing your food: the bagel you've been dreaming of for breakfast might not be there when you wake up.
- Your shoes will stick to your floors for the next week: spilled drinks are inevitable.
- You'll be picking up cans for the entirety of the next day: not the ideal way to spend a Sunday morning.
- You'll be getting texts from people asking if you've found their phone, shoes, wallet, etc.
- Things might get stolen: hopefully your friends wouldn't steal from you, but chances are you won't know everyone that shows up to your party.
- Beer showers can happen: not only will it make you reek, but your floors will, too.
- That weird neighbor could end up sleeping on your couch until noon: talk about uncomfortable.
- Your yard will look like it's growing cans instead of grass.
The next day after you host a party can be anything but enjoyable, but hosting a party in college is just a part of the experience. In the long term, your party could quite possibly become one of your favorite college memories. Be smart, be safe, and have fun!
