Do you love scary movies? I totally have an obsession and Halloween is my favorite holiday. As you can imagine, I’m pumped for fall. I figured I’d share some movies that totally slay the season.

1. "Jeepers Creepers"

I’m talking about the original Jeepers Creepers, not the sequel. It’s so creepy with its recurring vintage tune and of course the flesh eating creature. I mean, we would all like to think that people end up in classic horror movie situations because they’re stupid and that clearly wouldn’t happen to us. But Darry just wanted to help someone that was in trouble, poor nice Darry, and that just doesn’t go as planned. I highly recommend watching this with some super buttery popcorn snuggled up on the couch late at night. Obviously, nothing can go wrong with that plan. "You know the part in scary movies when someone does something really stupid, and everyone hates them for it? This is it."

2. "Zombeavers"

Okay, so I happen to be a fan of terrible cheesy movies, and Zombeavers delivers more than I could handle. It’s so incredibly over the top, Netflix has truly outdone themselves. It follows the adventures of young college aged kids on their way up to a cabin (aren’t they always on the way to a cabin?) and as you guessed, the beavers in that area are not well. This kind of movie is enjoyed most with a little beer and a lot of friends with the same sense of humor. "We cannot turn against each other now. That's exactly what the beavers would want."

3. "Nightmare on Elm Street"

Freddy is always bringing the puns and scares! I love the jump scare antics and the ridiculous decisions of the victims. I feel like this franchise doesn’t really need a hard sell. “One, two, Freddy’s coming for you…” if you don’t turn on this movie! The story revolves around people dealing with an entity that can invade and control your dreams. Freddy is a terrible, funny, mean spirited dude that likes to cause trouble for fun. He also punctuates everything with “bitch”. So there’s that. "Welcome to prime time, bitch!"

4. "Trick or Treat"

This movie is my personal favorite underrated movie. It revolves around four seemingly unrelated stories and as the movie progresses they all come together! From razor blades in candy, a killer bus driver, to werewolves transforming to the beat of “Sweet Dreams” by Marilyn Manson, it’s action packed and has everything you look for in a horror movie. You might even catch a coming-of-age story along with a vampire! I really cannot express how amazing this movie is, please watch it. Please. You need this in your life. "Wait, there's another tradition...always check you're candy."

5. "Evil Dead"

Oh Bruce Campbell, you beautiful son of a bitch, you gifted mankind with a glorious gem in the Evil Dead trilogy. They even have continued the story line in a spin off Ash vs. The Evil Dead. The cheese factor is to the max, in one scene they spray something like milk (or maybe puss?) instead of blood. The movies follow Ash Williams to a cabin in the woods where all sorts of demonic things are afoot. Ash turns out to be THE DUDE when it comes to dealing with these monsters, called “Deadites”. Do yourself a solid and join the fan club. The Evil Dead trilogy and Ash vs. The Evil Dead are things to be cherished and passed along to friends. "We're going to get you. We're going to get you. Not another peep. Time to go to sleep."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
