It is not secret that Lip Gallagher is the heartthrob on 'Shameless.' Let's face it, those eyes do just about every girl in. His baby blues and messy hair equals girls swooning. He has a brilliant mind and even though he smokes we can not help but find that hot too. As I have bing watched the show a few things became clear. Lip's love life has a pattern: fall in love with the wrong girls and leave the girls who actually love him and care about him in the dust.
1. Karen Jackson/Mandy Milkovich
Do not even get me started on Karen. The girl is literally the worst. Who films a porno with their "boyfriend's" dad while he is drugged and then put it on the internet? She does not stop there as she emails it to her own father. I could not believe my eyes when she peed on her own father's grave. Let's not forget the birth of her son and how horrible she acts. Okay, enough about her it was obvious that she was wrong for Lip. However, Mandy was completely right for him. Completed college applications and encouraged him to to do his best. She was nothing but supportive and he still wanted Karen. Eventually, it became apparent that Mandy was madly in love with Lip but saw the writing on the wall. She went full psycho and pulled a hit and run on Karen. Eventually this story line fizzled out and Karen left never looking back.
2. Helene Runyon/Amanda
Lip then starts this ridiculous "relationship" with his Professor. However, only a couple problems with it one being she is married with a son about Lip's age. Even more bizarre her husband knows about it and sees them in the act. Meanwhile, Lip threw away his so-called "relationship" with Amanda. She did nothing but help him out and even would loan him her BMW. Her father could have gotten Lip a great internship and future job prospects. They both were interested in the same things. Not to mention the fact that Amanda was his age and was madly in love with him. I hated how Amanda went full psycho and punched him, but she did not stop there. She opened his phone and sent out the revealing picture of the professor. I agree with her that Lip needs to learn how to treat women better but she still acted insane. Helene had no problem walking away from Lip and dropped him like that.
Bottom line, he gives up girls who are in love with him for girls who drop him. I also hate when the girls go psycho and let jealousy get the best of them. They hurt other women in the process and what did it get them? Lip did not come running to them and propose marriage. Ladies, you never let them see you sweat. If he did not want you, he is the one missing out. You will find someone better and who actually loves you. He will treat you the right way.
All I can say is- Hell hath not fury like a woman scorned.
