Hopelessness And Loss Of Faith

Losing faith in God will truly ruin the relationship you spent years building.

The words faith and hope are more times than not considered “dirty words." They think if you have a positive attitude and hope for the best you will only let yourself down in the long run. When did putting all your faith into a perfect God become hopeless? Never, we only grew impatient with the situation. Today, all generations are impatient. The longer we wait the less likely it will happen. Right? It is as if we forgot how to communicate not only with each other, but also with God. Communication isn't ranting on about how bad your life is, and expecting someone to fix it. So, why would we think communicating with God worked that way?

Faith is the reason we have a relationship with God. If. you don't have faith in him why waste your time at church acting like you do? “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 | ESV) Having faith in Him, and following in Jesus’s footsteps is the reason we do the things we do. Have patience and faith, because your relationship with God depends on it. Have patience in an answer from Him, because you have faith.

“But the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.” (Psalms 147:11 | ESV). Have hope and keep positive vibes going when faced with challenges. Being pessimistic is not going to convince anyone that you honestly have true faith in God. Having hope is knowing that He has your back through everything. Hope is knowing when you turn to Him in times of trial He will provide. He provides in ways you will never understand, but one day it will become clear that everything he has done has reasoning. We lose hope in Him, because we lose hope in ourselves. We try to succeed on our own, but failure is all we get. Look to him to succeed, and he will prove that it is not success you were after all along it was filling. Filling in that you were only trying to fill the empty hole in your soul where He belongs. We lose hope in Him, because we never had the right goal in the first place. If you take your eyes off the bullseye, you'll miss every time. Our stupid human ways are the true reason for the hopelessness.

Faith and hope are not really dirty words. We give up on the situation, and then we lose faith. Have faith in God, and hope for perfect understanding in the things he is doing in your life everyday. Faith and hope are main components in your relationship with God. I hope you take the time to think about how strong your faith in Him truly is, and make a change if it is needed.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
