Original Netflix films and television shows have proved to be either hit or miss because you either absolutely love or absolutely hate them. But one of their newest films is one I know you'll absolutely love!

The backdrop of the film is post-World War II and we see how it affects various different groups of people. The main of which serves as the titular, 'The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society.'

And what a loveable bunch they are! We've got Michiel Huismann, known mostly for Game of Thrones and making every girl swoon. He doesn't disappoint in this film either. He plays Dawsey Adams, whose first name closely resembles the incredible Mr. Darcy, don't you think?

In addition, you'll recognize many of the star-studded cast if you loved Downton Abbey Alums Lily James, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Penelope Wilton star in what seems to be the mini-reunion before the Downton Abbey Film hits the big screen. Yes, your heart will be full with seeing each of them again!

While you might watch it for the cast, you'll love it for the story. (I promise there are no spoilers ahead!)

The film stays mostly true to the novel with its genuine love for classic literature, honest historical depictions, and charming dramatic romance.

If you are a bookworm, you'll want to join in on the societal gatherings about their favorite authors and stories. The characters become just as passionate as you do about 'Jane Eyre' and other classics. Watch it and be inspired by how these stories intertwine in a most realistic and original way. You'll see how they made it through the war in flashbacks but how it continues to affect them in the aftermath.

History buffs will enjoy the film just as much as the hopeless romantics will because while History tells us the facts about how awful the war really was, we rarely get to see the aftermath depicted in fiction. Instead, fiction tends to show that people moved on after the war, but not the process of moving on. To really understand how cruel and dark the times really were, we need to see how people picked up the pieces and moved on. 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' lightheartedly tells this very story while still revealing the authentic brokenness and harsh reality of post-World War II.

How do these few colorful individuals get through it? Participating in book clubs, eating potato peel pie, and leaning on each other.

While I promised a no spoiler review, I am going to have to spoil you this one. You won't be disappointed by this unforgettable period drama.

If you still need more convincing, just watch the trailer.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
