Most, if not all, of you use Netflix on a daily basis. Binge-watching entire seasons of a television show in a single day has become a cultural norm. In fact, most of you are probably watching the newest season of your latest show while reading this article. Many people, myself included, consider Netflix the Holy Grail of the internet. However, few people have yet to discover the Holy Grail of Netflix.
One of the greatest hidden gems of all time is a service called Hola. Hola is a free Google Chrome extension that allows you to access any website (including Netflix) from another country. Basically, it tricks your computer into believing you are in the country of your choosing. And as the content available in each country's Netflix varies, this makes it easy to access movies and shows that may not be available on Netflix in the US, but are available on Netflix in other countries such as the UK, Mexico, and France. For example, if you were left hanging in the middle of a season of Desperate Housewives, simply open Google Chrome, click on Argentina from Hola's drop down list of countries, and go search for it on Netflix. You don't feel like renting Gone Girl from the iTunes store for a few dollars? Don't worry. You can just can go back to Hola and stream the movie from Canadian Netflix for free.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's even a way to search the Netflix regions of the world to find your desired flick/show. The website flixsearch.io allows you to search for movies and shows, and tells you exactly which countries' Netflix you can find it on.
So what are you still doing here? Go lock yourself in your room for a few days and start watching!
