'Hoe' vs. Sexual Liberation: Is there a difference?

I am tired of people referring to women as "hoes" or "whores."

Men do not even use the word correctly, where instead of calling a woman a woman, they call her a "hoe" or a "b-tch." The reasons that they refer to her as one are not even enough to allow those comments to surface.

Personally, I do not believe "hoes" exist.

I believe that women who some may presume to be "hoes" are sexually liberated women.

Men have been using the word "hoe" a little too loosely, allowing the word to be a common word used to refer to a woman. For example, a man could say "That hoe helped me with my homework."

But wait… She's a hoe if she helps you with your homework?

According to Urban Dictionary, hoe means "a woman who is 'easy', and will have sex just about anything with a heartbeat." Due to this definition, I have come to the conclusion that a "hoe" is the same thing as a prostitute.

So basically gentlemen, let's get one thing straight. Whenever you call a woman a hoe, you are also calling her a prostitute? A woman who has sexual intercourse with anything for money?

People are not understanding the importance of word usage. Word usage is extremely important, if used incorrectly things can be misinterpreted.

In some cases, a woman can be sexually liberated.

Also according to Urban Dictionary, Sexual liberation means, "The freedom to partake in sexual activities with whom ever you choose. Without discrimination or labelling." This definition concludes that a woman who is "sexually liberated" is a woman who is particular about her sexual partners, but chooses to have sex with them when she desires.

In other words, she does not have sex with "anything with a heartbeat." She is particular, she just chooses to have more than one sexual partner that she knows or feels comfortable.

America needs to understand that sexually liberated women exists, because using the word "hoe" to address them, is highly disrespectful and degrading.

On my final note, boys and men of america, let us understand that every woman who is sexually active is a "hoe." Every woman who chooses to have sex with more than one person is not a "hoe." Understand the difference before you put such derogatory name to her activity.

A woman deserves more respect than someone judging her based on her sexual history. She is a human being, who should be treated as such. Before you give her the name "hoe," understand who she is first.

Because even though some men choose to have sex with multiple women, you all do not consider yourselves a "hoe." We are supposed to say, "it's just boys being boys."

No.

It's one or the other, there is no exception.

Let's just do away with the word "hoe" shall we? Because the majority of the ones you call "hoes," are some of the most sexually, (and classy) liberated women you know.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
