As a teenage girl, following sports is not something that is part of my daily routine. Frankly, there are very, very few sports that I do find enjoyable. However, hockey is one of those sports. Here are some reasons that hockey is better than literally any other sport.

1. It is easy to follow.

A hockey fan’s word for celebration. 10/10 recommend a good celly, especially when it’s the team you’re cheering for.

3. They have funny words like 'bender', 'duster', and 'sniper.'

I’ll wait for you to name another sport that has funnier words… Plus it’s more fun to say ‘bender’ than ‘a guy who hasn’t got his skates tied tight enough’ or ‘duster’ instead of ‘bench warmer’.

4. No rules that are crazy confusing.

This goes back to the easy to follow thing. Hockey is so fast and still, there’s not any ridiculous rules.

5. They're ice skating and playing a sport.

It’s so impressive! Other sports they just have to run and play, but skating is a skill that takes time to perfect.

6. Shoot outs

Shoot outs are probably the most exciting part of the game. They only happen every once in a while, but when they do, you better hold your breath!
