The 4 best places to hike in Phoenix

It is late September and Phoenix is no longer at burning temperatures. Fall is here and the weather has finally cooled down. That means you can finally bring out your fall clothes, drink all your favorite fall drinks and start exercising outside without having a heat stroke.

Hiking comes with multiple health benefits and great experiences. Whenever I go hiking I enjoy fresh air, the smell and sounds of nature, as well as the view of the city when you have finally reached the top. Below are some of the hiking trails that are very popular and recommended in the Phoenix area.

Double Butte Loop/Hole in the Rock

Roadside America

Location: Papago Park

Distance: 2.4 miles

Difficulty: Moderate

Piestewa Peak Summit Trail #300

Arizona Daily Sun

Location: Phoenix Mountain Preserve

Distance: 2.3 miles

Difficulty: Moderate to difficult

L.V. Yates Trail #8

Location: Phoenix Mountain Preserve

Distance: 4.9 miles

Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Camelback Mountain

Visit Phoenix

Location: N 44th St & E Camelback St

Distance: 2.4 miles

Difficulty: Moderate to difficult

When going on a hike, I recommend that you put on your most comfortable clothes and shoes, bring plenty of water and have a safe time. It is also safe to bring a friend and also have a map of the trail being hiked.

Happy Fall!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
