High school was supposed to be the best years of your life. Or at least that is what everyone told you. Overall, my high school experience was awesome, but, there were a lot of downfalls to it as well. I will have you know that I met some great people and experienced new things in high school. However, there are a few things that I wish I had been warned about before entering my freshman year.
1. Not everyone will like you
This is a hard thing to hear. But, not everyone in this world is going to like you.
2. Your "best friends" in high school may not be your BFFs forever.
If you still have your best friends from high school after it is over, consider yourself blessed. That does not happen very often.
3. You are likely to get played.
Do not be fooled by the pretty boy who seems to like you. He could have an ulterior motive and your heart could get broken. The boy who played me for two years was very good at it and I NEVER got an apology. He knows who he is and it took me a very long time to forgive him.
4. If your first boyfriend says he loves you, it is not true love.
Honestly, your first relationship may not last for but a few months. Be careful with the "L" word.
5. Be careful about who your date is to prom.
I only say this because at my junior prom, my boyfriend broke up with me. I guess he was not a good idea to begin with.
6. If you do find a nice guy, do not break his heart over and over again.
This will only end with him never speaking to you again; before you know it, you have lost a great friend.
