Before I get started I just want to say this is my opinion and my experience throughout my four years of high school. Many people have different experiences/opinions and that's perfectly fine.
Many people will tell you that high school will be the best four years of your life and that it will be the best time of your life, but those people have never been so wrong. High school is definitely not the best years of your life and if it is then that's just sad. From what I experienced during my four years of high school is that it is not everything it is made out to be. Trust me when I say this: as soon as you graduate nothing that happened in high school will matter and you will barely talk to anyone that was in your class. I know this because I just graduated one month ago and I only talk to two people from my high school and everyone else I have no idea what they are up to now. The two people that I do talk to still are not with me every day or even every week. High school really doesn't matter as much as you think it does and I wished I would have known that because I spent so much of my time throughout high school worrying and caring what people think. I wish I wouldn't have done that and I would've just been myself. As soon as I graduated I felt like I was already a adult and all the people I grew up with we're all already gone. When you're in high school you think it is so important, but in reality you will forget about it faster than you think. It is not the peak of your life and even if you think it is, it won't be. There is so much more to life than high school and you will eventually see that. I can go on and on about why high school is not the greatest thing ever, but I think you get the point.
If there is one thing you can take away from reading this just take away that high school won't be the best four years of your life and don't worry so much during those four years and enjoy being a kid because before you know it you'll realize you'll be on your own and it's time to grow up.
