Honey bees are essential to our well-being in every way possible. They may have a painful sting, but bees are vital for human life. From pollinating almost every bite that goes into our mouth, honey bees are even a great indicator of weather!
But sadly, over the past decade, many negative environmental factors have taken place that are causing a decline in bee-life. Global warming, pollution, pesticides, and habitat destruction are just a few of the numerous ways that bees are being affected.
However, this decline of honey bees in our environment have caused many of us to take a step back and figure out how to save these wonderful creatures. According to the National Geographic, here are some ways we can start helping our friendly neighbors.
1. Plant More
In order to encourage bees to pollinate more, provide a house for them! I mean, it's the least we can do, considering all that they do for us. You can find bee houses anywhere online (amazon.com is a great place to start) or any home & garden store!
3. Use Less Pesticides
Using chemicals when it comes to killing pests is a big NO. Growing plants that introduce pest-eaters is a natural way to get rid of pests. Here is link to organic gardening for your own knowledge!
