Hayley Williams of Paramore is the undisputed queen of rad colored hair, seriously if you go through Paramore’s history you can see all the different colors her hair has been. The classic orange hair is probably the most well recognized. It only makes sense that her and Brian O’Connor (her hairstylist) launched their own hair dye line, called GoodDyeYoung.
The hair dye line is vegan, cruelty free, smells good and consists of 5 “beautifully obnoxious” colors and staying true to Hayley’s favorite things, all the dye’s have really cool names. The names are Steal My Sunshine,Blue Ruin,Rock Lobster,Ex-Girl and Riot. Steal My Sunshine is named after a song by this band called LEN and as you may have guessed it, it’s bright yellow. The name Blue Ruin comes from this awesome movie called “Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind” and if you haven’t seen it, watch it immediately. Blue Ruin is dark blue, if you didn't figure that out. Rock Lobster is named after the classic B-52’s song of the same name and it’s red. Ex-Girl is named after the opening track of No Doubt’s album The Return Of Saturn, the song is “Ex-Girlfriend”. Ex-Girl is pink just like Gwen Stefani’s hair in No Doubt’s video for the song! Finally, Riot is named after the classic orange that Hayley Williams wore throughout the album cycle for Paramore’s album Riot!. There’s also fader to make the colors lighter and a bleaching kit.
We all know that bands usually have dedicated fan bases and some are a little more dedicated than others. The community that Paramore has created from their music is incredible, there’s so many Paramore fans in the world, it’s crazy. If you don’t know how many fans there are of this band just know that Paramore has had their own cruise twice. With the magnitude of fans that this band has gathered up throughout the years launching a hair dye line was probably a no-brainer for Hayley Williams. As I said there’s a big community of fans that dig Paramore and now that there’s a hair dye line out it gives everyone another way to support the band. Having been to one Paramore concert so far I can confidently tell you that this fan base has the most colorful heads.
GoodDyeYoung is something that so far has had a lot of support from the music community and the fashion community. People are dyeing their hair all sorts of colors, their probably even creating new colors. It’s pretty crazy that 2 people from a small city in Tennessee can color people’s hair all around the world. If your contemplating dyeing your hair and you want it to be really bright you should get some of this stuff. To all the people that have dyed their hair don't stop being you.
