Can you take me seriously for two seconds?

I Have Questions For You
Madison Weimer

Could you take another piece of my heart? Could you slam the door in my face? Can you watch my tears hit the floor? Do you feel guilty? Is it just that you can't be alone? Did you really ever love me? Is your behavior my fault? Is your behavior her fault? Does she know I exist? Is her heart in a million pieces trying to make sense of what you've done? Has she stopped crying like me? Is she lying in your arms tonight? Is she like me fighting back the urge to cope with bad habits? Does she try to pretend that part of her life never happened? Do you make her feel small for having made that mistake? Does she know you've made that mistake? Do you talk about those mistakes? Do you talk about our mistakes? Do you miss them? Do you know I only miss you at night? Is it hard for you to accept we don't love each other anymore? Have you accepted we can't be friends? Is the urge to lay next to me overpowering? Does it break your heart that we can do the falling asleep stuff but we can't do the waking up stuff? Will you ever forgive me? Will she ever forgive me? Will I ever forgive her? Can her and I be friends? Can we bond over the pain you've caused us? Can we talk about how we both love you? How that love grew from lies and literally, I mean, literally the same lies? Do you get a free pass to move on with your life? Will her and I forever be missed calls? Does she get the ring? Are you leaving me in the past? Am I the one leaving you in the past? Will our story ever not be complicated? Who made it complicated? Why can't we be sixteen again? Isn't it unfair we can't take back the heart ache and pain and love and just be friends again? Does it make me a bad person that I miss you but I'm not in love you? Why couldn't you just be friends? How can we transition from lovers to enemies to friends? Can we? Will we? Do you know I don't think we can? Do you feel a pain when you breath in knowing our time has really passed? Can you see me watching over you? Can you feel my prayers for you? Will you take care of yourself? Can you take me seriously for two seconds? Would you change the past if you could? Do you regret the pain you've caused? Does she know I regret the pain I've caused? Are we all confused, heartbroken teenagers with nothing and everything too lose? Is that too cliché? Is this simpler than that? Is there a chance you're the one complicating this all? Could I have moved on sooner if you let me go? Would you let her rebuild her life? Can you? Can you let me rebuild mine? Do you think I am responsible for you? Are there doubts in your mind of my strength? Are there doubts in your mind of her strength? Do you think you're the only one who struggles to be happy? Can you please grow up? Would you stop being so dramatic and put your big girl panties on? How about we make a deal, huh? How about you take a long walk off a short pier? And her and I will pick up the pieces you so gingerly shattered to perform the miracles you didn't think either of us were capable of.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
