In high school group projects are the best. All it requires is getting creative with markers and poster board with your friends as you sit around and goof off during the class period instead of doing actual work. But in college, the game changes.
You're stuck working with a bunch of strangers on a project that no one cares about or has time for, and it usually counts for a large portion of your grade.
Just like there are multiple stages of grief, there are many stages you go through when you are assigned a group project.
When the teacher says the dreaded words "group project"

When you realize it's the end of the semester and you still don't know anyone in the class

So you try to work alone, but the teacher won't let you

When the teacher assigns your group members
Or even worse, when you have to pick your own group and don't know which strangers to choose

In your first meeting, when you realize no one understands the project at all

When one person tries to take over but everything they say is dumb

When no one else offers any other suggestions so you end up going with the dumb person's idea
When you make a group message but don't want to save their numbers because you know you'll never talk to these people again so you never know who's saying what

When you try to meet up but everyone has class or work at different times

When the only time you have to meet is at 4:00 a.m. and you just have to deal with it or you'll never get the project done

When it's the day before the project is due and 3 people still haven't contributed

When it's presentation day and someone doesn't show up

When it's finally all over

When you realize you'll have to do this again one day
