16 Happy Songs To Boost Your Mood

Here are some happy tunes to help combat your blues.

1. Bubbly By: Colbie Caillat

This songs just makes me smile and it gives off some nostalgic vibes.

2. 10,000 Hours By: Dan + Shay (with Justin Bieber)

Even though country music and Justin Bieber don't seem to run together often, this song shows that it actually works!

3. I'm Yours By: Jason Mraz

This song, much like "Bubbly", gives off very nostalgic vibes for me. The scat parts are what really make me smile/laugh.

4. On Top Of The World By: Imagine Dragons

Considering the recurring mantra is, "I'm on top of the world", this song just radiates positive vibes.

5. I Lived By: OneRepublic

When reading the lyrics, some verses don't seem very positive, but the overarching lesson is to have a positive outlook in all circumstances.

6. Can't Stop the Feeling By: Justin Timberlake

Just by watching the dance moves in the video, I start smiling.

7. Hey, Soul Sister By: Train

I was OBSESSED with this song back in 1st grade when MTV actually played music! So, AGAIN, nostalgia plays a big part in this song making the list.

8. Classic By: MKTO

STRONG middle school dance vibes right here. I can still sing this song WORD for WORD.

9. Don't Worry, Be Happy By: Bob Marley (written by Bobby McFerrin)

Just reading the title, it is pretty obvious that this is a happy song.

10. Good Time By: Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen

To put it simply, when you are having a "good time", you're probably happy.

11. Walking on Sunshine By: Katrina and The Waves

This song just radiates positive energy inside and out.

12. Best Day of My Life By: American Authors

Quite an odd music video, but still a very happy song.

13. Footloose By: Kenny Loggins

I learned every word to this song for a middle school concert... just try me. Personally, it is near impossible to hear this song without dancing some way.

14. Celebration By: Kool & the Gang

This song perfectly expresses how I am going to feel after social gatherings are acceptable again.

15. September By: Earth, Wind & Fire

I low-key have the instrumental part memorized because of high school band.

16. Happy By: Pharrell Williams

1. Obviously, this song had to make the list... It's literally called "happy".

2. I know the harmony to this because of high school choir. (I'm an alto)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
