Today is the day. October 29th is National Cat Day. That being said, celebrate the almost-weekend with some inspiration from some famous meow-ers.
1. Lil' Bub
Born in 2011, Lil' Bub is an American celebrity that gained attention online for her unique appearance. Her adorable tongue always sticks out because of her short lower jaw and lack of teeth. But it's what makes Lil' Bub special ...and successful. This Insta-famous feline has published books, signed autographs, held events and is a social media star. Talk about those cat stacks.
2. Grumpy Cat
Named Tarder Sauce, you have probably seen this cat on your Facebook feed more times than you can count. Grumpy Cat is perpetually grumpy. From National TV appearances to Meet and Greets to commercial opportunities, she remains quite upset at life.
"I had fun once. It was awful," Grumpy Cat said.
Her facial expression is on a resting-grumpy-face due to an underbite and feline dwarfism. However, this cat has gotten me through the worst times with matching memes to reflect my inner-feelings, as in, "No."
3. Sam Has Eyebrows
If you thought your eyebrows were on fleek, check out Sam. His unique black markings right above his eyes made him go viral instantly- HOW COULD YOU NOT SHARE THIS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM?! Being unique is cool, says Sam's 177k Instagram followers. Next time you want to pencil in your eyebrows or do something somewhat dramatic, take a second and just remember Sam- natural never hurt anyone.4. Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson
Taylor Swift: You may like her or may hate her, either way, you cannot deny how cute her cats. Cleverly named Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, Swift is always seen out and about with them. From tour to SoHo shopping excursions, one of them is always in tow. Thanks to Taylor Swift's Instagram, fans and stalkers alike can rejoice in meow-worthy photos and videos all day.But really, these two cats are named after two powerful women on TV and then they get to live the glorious life alongside Taylor Swift. Color me jelly.
5. Salem Saberhagen
Sabrina the Teenage Witch was one of the best shows to date. I would come home from middle school, plop down in front of the TV and watch until my heart was content. It was one of the best shows, at least in my eyes, because of Salem. Let's just leave it at that and this video below.
