Happiness is such a powerful feeling. When happiness is felt you are on top of the world-- nothing can bother you, you are in the moment, you are your truest and best self. We cry when we're happy, we laugh when we're happy, we smile the biggest smile when we're happy, and sometimes we're so happy we get chills. Happiness can be the most pure feeling which I believe is such a beautiful thing.
I look at happiness like a puzzle. The overall picture that we're trying to achieve is our happiness as a whole and the pieces are the little things that happen to us. When you're doing a puzzle, sometimes the pieces don't fit right and you get frustrated, sometimes you end up missing a piece of the puzzle and you feel like all your hard work was for nothing. But then, you find that piece that fits and you put it in it's place and its the most satisfying feeling in the world. And then you find that missing piece of the puzzle underneath the table and you look take a look at the finished puzzle and feel an immense sense of pride and relief. Happiness is like a puzzle piece in the way that we all strive to happy, and there are many little moments in our life, good and bad, that make up that feeling. If every single puzzle piece fit perfectly the first time you try to put it down, the excitement of finding the right pieces wouldn't exist.
Every puzzle piece is different, like how different things make different people happy, but all the pieces still fit in that persons puzzle. Just because someones piece of the puzzle is different than yours doesn't make it any less important to putting together the final product. I think that is important to recognize. We are all different people with different likes, dislikes, and interests. Different things make different people happy and that is okay. Allow yourself to feel happiness in those things and allow other people to feel happiness too.
Your puzzle of happiness is unique to you. Find the things that make you happy and put those pieces in their place. If you don't find the right piece at first, it's still apart of your puzzle somewhere, but never give up trying to find the piece you are looking for.
