That time of year is approaching. The time for spooky festivities, costumes and, of course, scary movies. Yes, Halloween is just a short week away, leaving you with a few more days to squeeze in some very important classic scary movies to properly prepare for the greatest holiday ever.
So, you don't do scary movies you say? Well, have no fear. (See what I did there?) There are tons of fabulous Halloween classics to get you in the spooky mood without the nightmares.
Here are some choice movies that will get you in the Halloween mood that anyone can enjoy!
1. Hocus Pocus
An obvious choice. Hocus Pocus is a classic we all grew up with. Witches, curses, zombies, teen romance - It's got it all. Sure to get you in that Halloween spirit.
2. Haunted Mansion
Based on the Disney World attraction with the same name, funny man Eddy Murphy stars in this movie about a family who gets stranded in a creepy old mansion with some peculiar hosts. Trouble ensues. There are ghosts, mausoleum, a creepy butler and bouts of humor to keep the movie from being too scary.
3. Tower of Terror
Also based on a Disney Theme Park attraction, Tower of Terror is about a reporter and his daughter who investigate an abandoned luxury hotel where five people mysteriously disappeared 60 years prior.
4. The Little Vampire
A Disney Channel favorite, an adorable little boy befriends a vampire family and helps save the clan.
5. Under Wraps
In this movie, three kids accidentally awaken a mummy on Halloween.
6. Casper
Everyone's favorite friendly ghost!
7. ALL of the HalloweenTowns
After learning she is a witch, a girl helps save the alternate world of HalloweenTown of supernatural creatures.
8. The Addams Family
The notorious odd family and their adventures.
9. The Nightmare Before Christmas
A Tim Burton classic that doubles as a Halloween and Christmas movie!
10. The Corpse Bride
Also a Tim Burton original, this movie has the right amount of creepy mixed with a feel-good plot.
