I recently cut my hair up to my collar bone and its the first time that I've ever had short hair in my entire life. I enjoy the do over that I now get with my hair. But with that being said I don't have any ideas of how to style my hair, the hairstyles I've done only really work with long hair, so here are some bomb.com hairstyles to do with short hair.

1. Half bun braids are what I strive to accomplish now with having short hair. People may think you can't rock braids with short hair but those people would be wrong.

2. Curly up do sounds easy, but I have think hair and I find it harder to curl my hair now that it is short, strange right? I thought it would be easier. But this is something that you could wear with a hoodie or something more fancy; either way it's cute.

3. Front braids are great for getting those sometime annoying pieces out of your face for the day. It takes like ten minutes, five if you are familiar with short hair and you are ready to go.

4. Headbands are great for short hair so I have learned. You could leave it as is for a statement piece or you could pair it with a braid.

5. Buns are great for days that you don't want to do anything. Buns are a pretty big life saver.

I can't wait to try these out and start rocking my short hair.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
