Over the past two years, I have been fortunate enough to come in contact with one of the most incredible foundations, 13thirty. 13thirty has opened their doors to individuals, ages 13-30, and has given them a home away from home as they battle cancer. Last year, I attended a fundraiser for Goin' Bald for Bucks. As I sat in the crowd and listened to Lauren Spiker speak about her daughter, Melissa, and her battle with cancer, I decided to raise money and shave my head. I shaved my head that night and raised money to support 13thirty Cancer Connect, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Wilmot Cancer Institute. This year, I have decided to hold a fundraiser at Marywood University with the hope of raising $15,000. 13thirty has had a lifelong impact on me and I want to do anything in my power to impact this foundation like they have impacted me.

The event will be at Marywood University in early April. I am hoping to spread the inspiration and awareness that 13thirty has given me and raise money to reach my goal. If you are interested in donating or joining our team at Marywood, please visit the link below. Shaving your head completely is not the only way you can be a part of this fundraiser. You can have people pledge to have you shave your head, cut your hair, donate at least eight inches, braid your hair or even use spray dye to "color" it. Or have people pledge and if you meet a specific amount, shave your head or beard. Be creative and spread the word, please! Any donation is greatly appreciated.
