In college and in life, we are constantly trying to get organized and achieve our goals. What if I told you that there were eight things you could change about your day to day life right now that will make you more prone to success?

Here are eight habits that many entrepreneurs and business owners have that you can start doing today to make YOU more successful.

Let's start with an easy one that's extremely effective...

1. Make your bed every day.

It may seem small, but doing this every day can really change your life. By having done something to make your space look nicer right when you wake up, it puts you in a mindset of getting things done. Not only does your room look nicer, it keeps you from getting back in the bed!

Speaking of the morning...

2. Wake up earlier.

So many people swear by their routine of waking up early and getting things done before the day even starts. This could mean answering emails, reading, or even working out! There have also been studies done that prove people that get up earlier actually make more money! If this seems impossible for you, maybe try to wake up just a little bit earlier each day. For instance, tomorrow you might make up five minutes earlier. Then, the next day you'd wake up ten minutes earlier and so on. Soon enough you could be in a routine where you naturally wake up early and you are given that time to breathe and get some things done. In other words, you're killing the day!

Now on to organization...

3. Get a planner.

I cannot stress this one enough, I keep EVERYTHING in my planner. This will ensure that you won't forget deadlines, important events, or even what to buy at the store! Planning can even be fun, you can write out your goals for the week and check them off once you achieve them! It's the perfect way to keep track of your busy life and motivates you to keep up with it.

4. Read!

Yes, I did say the "R" word. In today's society reading is definitely not a popular past time. However, it is extremely helpful when it comes to increasing vocabulary and you can even read a book about a skill you're bad at, or a motivational book! It is the perfect productive pastime that you can do before bed! Not only will you get better sleep since you would be taking time off from your phone and laptop, but it can provide the necessary knowledge you need to meet your goals.

5. Take time for yourself.

When it comes being considered a successful person, it can get pretty busy. Therefore, it's very important to take time for yourself! Whether it's going for a run, taking a nap, or scrolling through Pinterest while drinking tea, make sure you get a little time alone to relax every day.

6. Learn how to say no!

I, personally, need to learn to do this more. Life can get really busy but when an opportunity arises that sounds amazing or someone you care about needs help with something, we feel like we can't possibly say no. But, we can! Before saying yes to something, pause to make sure you know if you'll actually have enough time to do your best with it and if you honestly want to, then say yes or no.

7.When you dress your best, you feel your best.

Now, I'm not saying dress nice every day. Your best may not mean my best. Wear clothes you are confident AND comfortable in every day. This will increase your overall confidence and everything you do that day with seem more enjoyable.

Lastly and most importantly...

8. Do it NOW!

Stop procrastinating the things you need to do every day and just simply do them. If a to-do list might help you, then make one every morning with everything you need to do that day and make it necessary to check every single one off. If you want to succeed, this is the best way to do it. You are perfectly capable of doing anything you want in your life, CHOOSE to do the necessary steps that get you there.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
