Guns Vs. Dildos: Dawn Of Injustice

Fragile students protest with dildos and other stories from college campuses.

Recently at the University of Texas at Austin, some students were not pleased with a new state law. Texas has now passed a law that will allow students to carry on campus if they are licensed to do so. Some of the more sensitive types thought the best way to protest this is to hand out dildos. The movement name is, wait for it, #CocksNotGlocks. No, I am not making this up. Texas has a law in place dealing with indecent exposure and it bans public displays of some sex toys. The connection they tried to make is that it is ridiculous to conceal carry and yet still ban rubber wieners from the public eye. The problem here is that there is no connection, the constitutional right to arm yourself for the purpose of self preservation is not the same as a law about indecent exposure. It is extremely difficult to be nice but this protest is ludicrous. When I first read it I thought it was a joke, but now it frightens me because it is not. These students actually think they are making a strong case for themselves instead of being thought of as foolish. We know of some gruesome killings that have happened on gun free campuses, so I strongly support the law put in place. David French of the National Review stated it perfectly in his article on the movement, "...if one person thinks a conceal carry holder makes the UT's campus more dangerous, they've lost their minds." Those students can have their 9 inchers, I will stick with a 9 mm. A large number of students showed up to the event, but remember they are still a minority. This minority just happens to make a lot of noise. You can have a room full of hundreds of people but one crying baby is going to draw the attention, there just happened to be a few hundred crying babies at UT of Austin.

#StopWhitePeople2K16

This story was not the only absurd thing to happen on a college campus. The State University of New York is offering a course called "#StopWhitePeople2K16" as a part of training for residential assistants. The presenters stated the purpose of the course is to train the RAs with a better understanding of diversity, privilege, and the society we function in. I really want to hear the argument on how this is not racist. This idea of living in a white society is absurd. The notion of white privilege is also absurd, it is just a false narrative created by the left. However students get indoctrinated by the administrations so they believe the nonsense they spew. The notion of white privilege is easily destoyed in this video here. The presenter's statement goes against what the hashtag says, it clearly is singling out one group to cater to the desires of the fake victims. “These people should be sensitive to the issues of their residents, and to be prejudiced against someone on the basis of his or her skin color would seem, just like the hashtag itself, petty,” Howard Hecht, a student at the university stated. Read about it here.

University of Chicago for the Win

It seems like almost every week that students and the administration at some campus somewhere does something insane. However, through the fog of the idiotic ideals being shouted there are some good guys out there. In this case there it is one university, the University of Chicago's Dean of Students Jay Ellison welcomed the incoming class by stating they do not support "trigger warnings" and "Safe Spaces". Ellison told the new students, "Our commitment to academic freedom means that we do not support so-called 'trigger warnings,' we do not cancel invited speakers because their topics might prove controversial, and we do not condone the creation of intellectual 'safe spaces' where individuals can retreat from ideas and perspectives at odds with their own." Finally someone speaks out against the insanity! Many of these students want to be treated like adults yet act like children just because someone said something mean. Most of the time it is not even mean, they just do not agree with it. Listen up fellow students, everyone has a right to speak their ideas, whether you agree with them or not. You can not just go run and hide.

You are meant to learn and be challenged while in college, yet many students and administrations do not believe so. I am glad most of the students at the university I attend are not like the ones I mentioned, though some are. As a college student, to see other students act in such a way is embarrassing.

To end on a good note, here is a video of Steven Crowder from Louder with Crowder handing it to leftist students.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
