Summer is coming up, and some people are having spring break oddly late this year. With vacation around the corner, that means tourists in Florida. So. Many. Tourists. Often times, these tourists go to the theme parks without much of a plan and end up having an okay time, but often deal with crowds and just an overall mess. Making your way through the theme parks can be quite a difficult task, but with the right guidance and planning, your vacation will go swimmingly.
1. Head to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter first
Every time I've been to Universal, this has always been the most packed area there is. The lines for Gringotts and the Forbidden Journey are crazy long, and the lines for Dragon Challenge are pretty bad as well. Get there as soon as you can to try to beat the crowds. Alternatively, split your group up into the single riders line.
2. Bring extra shoes that you can get wet
Since you're in Florida, it's going to be gross and hot. It's always humid, and because of this you'll most likely want to go on water rides. Nobody likes getting their sneakers all wet and squishy, so bring a pair of sandals you can wear on the water rides. If you get your feet wet on Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and don't have an extra pair of shoes, you'll have a bad time.
3. Bring extra money
I don't just mean for food. You're going to want money for lockers and merchandise. Dealing with a child crying that they want that Cat in the Hat plushie now is going to cause a scene, and if you're willing to chalk the dough up, it's better to just already have it.4. Wait out the rain
It's going to pour. It always does in Florida, normally once a day when the weather is hot. This may deter you, but even with the thunder and lightning, you need to just deal with it. If you pack a poncho, that's even better. Just hide under a shelter or something and wait the rain out.
5. Be prepared to deal with crowds
It doesn't matter when you go, you'll be stuck among the swarm of other people who decided to attend that day. Even with rushing, you'll deal with massive crowds and rude people. Don't complain if you're stuck in lines, you chose to go.
