Little brothers can be a pain, right? They make fun of you, fart all of the time, and eat up all of the food. Well, at least this is what my brothers were like. However, I still have mad love for my brothers. I have two brothers who are only a year, and two years younger than me, so we literally grew up together. Even though they can be annoying sometimes, I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Brothers can be obnoxious, and so when I was about to get trouble, I would just blame it on them. No one believes that the innocent sister would do such a thing. When I couldn’t finish my dinner, my brothers would be there like a vacuum cleaner. When we were little, their action figures would make great companions with my Barbie dolls. My brothers would teach me how to play their video games, and even though I was horrible at it, they would still let me play. When we were younger and went outside to play, they would always be there to scooter with me, or sled down a hill. Even more, they make for great tooth-brushing buddies.
This is mean, but my brothers would always make fun of me, which makes for tough skin because you know they’re being honest. My brothers would always play sports with me, teaching me, and if it hadn’t been for them challenging me, I wouldn’t be as interested in sports as I am today.
Now that we are older, I can see how much they were, and still are, a part of my life. Whenever there was conflict they would always have my back, protecting me from the worst. I didn’t appreciate it as much back then, but they would always listen to me, and look for advice. They wanted to be like me. Now, I’m not always the best role model, but there’s something about that feeling that someone is looking up to me. Whenever I am sick, they do their best to take care of me. They never like to see me hurt, so now when they make fun of me, they apologize and they actually feel bad about saying anything mean.
It’s rare, but I have brothers who actually hug me, even now. They support me in everything I do, no matter what it is. It’s hard to find people like that in this world. When we work out together, they encourage and push me to my potential. On a lighter note, if you get all us together, you probably won’t be able to stop laughing. We get our humor from our dad. I guess you can say my brothers and I are really close. Just recently, both of my brothers graduated high school and they are both going to college in Colorado. I couldn’t be more proud of them. It’s such a blessing to see them grow up, and in about two weeks, seeing them go off to college. You see, my brothers and I didn’t grow up in the ideal situation, so all three of us going off to college is a big deal. We were in foster care from a young age, and so all we had was each other. All I can say is nothing can stop us now.
