There is an enormous stress for those of us who are in undergrad school in this generation. I can name the majors on one hand who are guaranteed a job with a Bachelors degree. You will have competition, of course, but you will eventually find a job.
On the other hand, those who are not guaranteed a job, who are laughed at when they announce their major, who are looked at like they are crazy and asked, "you really want to go to school for that long?" are innumerable.
This is really the part of life where we 20-somethings begin to grin and bear it. For real.
Whether your major is your major because of the promise of money, or because it is your passion, your first true love, the reason you believe you exist-- keep fighting for it. Go to class, ace those exams, but leave yourself some room for human error.
It may be often that someone will judge your major, size you up and question silently if you're really going to make it. It may be often that someone is going to challenge your intelligence, your drive, your abilities. It is insulting, it can be disheartening. However, we must continue; we must grin and bear it.
You can do it, stay focused, remember to keep on grinning.
