Hello nerds and geeks, specifically my fans of the DC universe, Semaj King here with some useful information that you might be happy to know. So it's clear that Warner Bros studios are opening the doors to the interconnected DC universe which means, yes that's right, a Justice League Movie! With "Batman V Superman Dawnn of Justice"set to release March 25 later this year, and Warner Bros. revealing Stars for other popular DC heroes like Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, makes for an exciting cast line up for the movie.
I know what you're thinking, what about good ole Hal Jordan, The Green Lantern? I was wondering the same thing, with Ryan Reynolds taking his talents to Marvel as the infamous Deadpool, the fans worldwide and myself figure a green lantern reboot is well underway, and we were correct. Last year during The Sanediego Comic Con, the title was released, The Green Lantern Corp. As far as the star, well, their aren't any definite answers yet but rumors of Fast and Furious Star Tyrese Gibson wanting to take the lanterns oath as John Stewart, is all over web. Not to mention, Gibson was quoted making statements like, “he met with Warner Bros. Studios,” “the world needs more black super heroes”, and that “he is confident, and more than willing to suit up”, in an interview at the Blu-Ray Junket, last year. Aside from Gibson, talk of actor Chris Pine taking the scene as Hal Jordan is also plaguing the internet, which could mean competition for Gibson.
Now again, this isn't official and we won’t know until the actors or Warner Bros. tells us otherwise but with the movie being named The Green Lantern Corps it's possible the movie could star both actors, giving it an old school buddy cop feel. Unfortunately, the world doesn't know for sure how this will pan out, but nevertheless its looking like Warner Bros. and the DC Universe is really taking their time, and trying to create something special
So, be sure to stay in the flow of things Nerds and Nerdettes, feel free to leave comments and ask questions, and I'll see ya next time!
