Greek Life Doesn't Define You

We are all sisters and brothers in Christ.

Bid day=best day? Well. I could agree with that if you had a great rush, but for some of us that's not exactly how it works out. We go into rush week thinking we know what we want or maybe we go into it open minded, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to go like that perfect day we dreamed about in our head.

Rush Week can be one of the most stressful times in a girls life. Or at least it may seem like it. It can make you feel unwanted, judged, and unloved. Just when you think everything is going to work out, something unexpected happens. It's so hard watching all of your friends run home to their sisters and having the time of their life when you simply just don't feel the same way.

I'm not saying it's easy at first, but it will get better. God has such big plans for each and every girl whether she's in Greek Life or not. It is so hard to see that right now because I struggle with it everyday, but we have to realize and KNOW everything happens for a reason. I truly believe God hand picks every one of us to face things, knowing that we can get through it.

While being in a sorority may seem like the only reason for college, there is so much more to life than that. Don't get me wrong, I dwell over it daily and think about the "what ifs" and "whys" constantly. But I do also believe life is full of second chances. God is watching you and is with you every step of this journey.

Your light was meant to shine on this Earth in some way, shape, or form and when that time comes, your heart will be so full.

We are all sisters and brothers in Christ. And don't you ever forget that!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
