I was born and raised in southeast Alabama. While I may not stay in southeast Alabama all my life I do, however, plan to stay in the south. This beautiful region is my home and I hope to raise a family here. Here are some of the best things about living down south.

1. The scenery is gorgeous

Driving home from college on the weekend is the best two hours of my week sometimes simply because how breathtaking my view is. Nothing is better than passing by all the farms, open land, cute little towns, and seeing that beautiful southern sunset. It reaffirms the fact that there's no place I'd rather live than here.

2. Food food food food

Whether is BBQ or fried okra the south nails it. We are known for our tasty dishes and delicious desserts. If you have a southern friend and they ever invite you to their mom or grandparents to eat you better accept. It'll be probably one of the best meals you'll have in your life.

3. We have amazing music

While we are known for country music that's, not our only hat thrown in the ring. Atlanta is home to some of the biggest and the best rappers. My personal favorites K Camp, Lecrae, Lil Jon, and 2 Chainz all hail from the dirty south.

4. Everyone has some sort of accent

While not every accent is the exact same, almost everyone has some sort of drawl going on. You can almost tell where someone is just how they sound!

5. We are such patriotic people

You walk into any store aorund here and we've probably got at least ten iteams witha flag design or some how patroticly decorated. Most house have a flag out front, especially where im from which is a near a big militaray base, or something to support the trrops. We love and beleieve in this country and all that it stands for, the hopes and dreams millions have.
