When I came home for the summer, I didn't quite realize that it meant giving up my college-born Game Of Thrones obsession. Without access to TVs with cable or high-speed unlimited internet, my addiction was severely crippled. Desolate, depressed, I wandered into my local Target seeking solace. What I found was the first season on sale. A few weeks later when I wandered into Walmart in search of a cable to charge my phone, I discovered the second season on sale. Now I am playing a Game of Sales, searching amongst stores for Seasons 3-5 at decent prices. In my obsession, I decided that I needed to pay homage to the show that has consumed so much of my time. So here is how you know you and your best friend are "meant to be" as described by "Game of Thrones."
1. When they annoy you because they know exactly what buttons to push to get a reaction.
2. When they laugh at you for doing something embarrassing like falling down in public or getting food in your hair.
3. When they give you amazing advice about how to deal with all of the haters.
4. When they tell it to you like it is.
5. When they challenge you to do something crazy...
6. ...and you totally dominate it and leave them speechless.
7. When you can't hang out because you have a prior commitment.
8. When you have deep and meaningful conversations.
9. When they get to do something awesome like go study abroad or take an awesome vacation and won't stop rubbing it in.
10. When they go off on a tangent about something you literally couldn't care less about...
11. ...and then they won't stop talking about it.
If you share these types of moments with your friends, the good, the bad, and the "Game of Thrones style" ugly, you're truly meant to last a lifetime. Hopefully that lifetime will be exceedingly longer than most of the characters' in Game of Thrones. Long live your friendship, and long live Jon Snow!
