Goodbye - a seven letter word that holds so much meaning. It can be said lightly, harshly, tearfully, all with the same effect: to end.
Goodbyes hold so much for such a short word, and it's almost unforgettable. They are never fun, but most times necessary for our mental and physical health. Sometimes you're lucky and the goodbye is mutual. But other times you're not, and the goodbye is filled with sadness and tears or rage and yelling.
No one likes to let go, letting go means admitting you were wrong about something, someone. Admitting that something you wanted didn't work out the way you thought it would. Admitting someone might not be who they said they were. Accepting that it's what's best, but also accepting that things are over, and will never be the same.
Goodbye is a seven letter word said often, but not a word often forgotten.
