This is it. This week marks the end of "The Hunger Games" trilogy. Can you believe it went by so fast? I remember going to see the first movie like it was yesterday. Actually, I probably remember reading the books better. I read "The Hunger Games" while riding on a bus to Cleveland with my school's orchestra. I zipped through "Catching Fire" (my personal favorite) over Easter break while staying at a cabin in Tennessee. I finished "Mockingjay"... Well, I don't exactly remember reading "Mockingjay," because I didn't like it.
But nevertheless, it's bittersweet to say goodbye to one of young adult fiction's greatest stories. With "Mockingjay: Part II" gracing theaters soon, let's look back at some of the life lessons we've learned from Suzanne Collins and her world of fight-to-the-death reality TV, extravagant outfits, and fabulous mahogany tables.
1. Caesar Flickerman deserves to host every show ever.2. There are only two things you need to remember to do at parties.

3. Josh Hutcherson's jawline is a work of art.
4. In the future, men will have really weird swirly facial hair.
5. And women will all try to dress like Lady Gaga.
6. That creepy girl you hated in "Orphan" hasn't stopped trying to kill people.
But putting jokes aside, we really did learn some great lessons, like...
7. Never underestimate the oldest. They're often the strongest.
8. Those that seem the most arrogant, are often the ones who are hurting.
9. Time goes by quickly, and those we love grow up in an instant.
10. The most unlikely people can turn out to be great mentors.
11. And no matter how hard things get, you will always have those that love you to lean on.
Thank you to Suzanne Collins who brought this story to life and has inspired readers everywhere. Enjoy "Mockingjay: Part II" everyone!
