As their relationship progresses, it soon gets interrupted by Sakuta's first crush. This anime has some funny and romantic moments that you do not want to miss!

The Promised Neverland

From an innocent orphanage to a dangerous farm. This anime follows Emma and her friends as they attempt to escape their orphanage so that they won't be fed to the demons outside. It does a good job in making the viewer feel the fear and panic that the characters are feeling themselves. This anime recently released a second season!

3. Yuri on Ice

This anime focuses on Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki as he receives help from a coach by the name of Victor. Although not explicitly stated, there seems to be some romantic tensions between both male characters. The show is beautifully animated and I recommend this even if you want to watch the animations of some skating sequences. It also has some really amazing soundtracks.

Death Note follows a boy by the name of Light Yagami who has the power to kill by simply writing their name in a notebook. Abusing his power, detective L takes on the task of putting an end to Light Yagami.

5. Haikyuu


Haikyuu

A sports anime following a boy named Shoyo Hinata. Despite being short, he has the ability to jump high. This anime follows him and his high school volleyball team as they compete with other teams in various tournaments. If you never played volleyball before, this anime will make you want to join a team in real life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
