Fall semester is the best semester for there are lots of breaks and long weekends. However, for Spring semester the story is not so much the same.

Also, you just spent three to four weeks doing absolutely nothing, so just simply getting back into the college routine is not too pleasant.

So here's to the returning students who are brave enough to truck on through another semester. The motions of going back for the spring semester as told by every college student favorite.

1. Simply realizing you have to go back

2. Preparing yourself to go back to the College food diet

3. When you look at your schedule and see a 7 a.m.

4. Reuniting and catching up with everyone from break


5. Realizing you have to do your own laundry all over again

6. Seeing literally every girl come back with engagement rings

7. But then finally realizing you're back at home with all the idiots you love

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
