The time has come after senior year and everyone has to choose the college that they will be attending in the fall. The reality start to set in, because for the first time in four years you will be separated from all your friends. You worry that you may not be able to find friends like them or better yet, find friends at all. As much as you are dreading leaving them, going to school without them is not a bad thing -- you will learn that soon enough.
When you go away to school you're forced out of your comfort zone and have to talk to other girls and try to make connections with them. Suddenly, you’re trying new things with new people, and you realize it was not so bad after all. These friends are great, but they just don’t know you like your home friends did and still do. Have no fear, your home friends are just a simple phone call away. Having issues with your new girlfriends at school? Do not worry -- it happens and your home friends are still there for you and always will be. Ironically they're probably going through the same thing you are and more than likely want to talk to you about it.
While your home friends are at their school, making new friends and trying new things, they are missing you as much as you’re missing them. When you finally see them for the first time in months, the feeling is beyond refreshing. Not only is the feeling of seeing your home friends after a long period of time amazing, you will both proceed to have the time of your life while the visit lasts (especially if it is summertime).
While you're at school, so are your friends from home, and they're experiencing the same thing you are. It is like a whole new world opening up, you can visit them, they can visit you. What's not to like about that? You have a chance to experience life in so many different ways and with your friends that you know so well. Going to college without your friends from home is not that bad. Believe it or not, it will help your relationship grow stronger, while you're also growing as an individual.
