Going To College With Your Sibling

Going off to college means saying goodbye to family and friends. No one explains to you how hard it is to leave your loved ones behind. The best part about going to college with your sibling is that you don't have to worry about that stuff. You always have a part of home with you. No matter what, you will always have a friend and a shoulder to cry on. There are many reasons why I love going to college with with my sibling.

1. You always have a friend.

No matter what you will always have a friend there. Most of your best friends are your siblings so how amazing is it that you can go to college with them. They are there for you when your parents can't be. They know exactly how you are, which makes things a lot easier.

2. They are obligated to eat with you.

They have no choice but to eat dinner with you when your friends don't want to. You know no matter what they are obligated to do certain things with you just because they are related to you.

3. You're not homesick.

You don't get homesick a lot because you have a part of home with you. Whenever you're having a bad day or need something to talk to, you know they are always there. Whenever you're feeling homesick, you can just talk to your sibling and feel a hundred times better.

4. You fight less.

Since you're not sharing a room and with each other all day, you fight less. Most of your fights consist of where to eat or who's doing laundry that week.

5. They're like an ATM.

Your sibling is like an ATM; trust me, I know from experience. It's hard to say no to your sibling when it comes to money so you just give them what they need. This goes for anything and for both sides. When one of you needs something, most likely your sibling has it and you can borrow it.

6. Their friends are your friends.

You know their friends in the first week and they know yours. You treat their friends like your own. You go out with their friends when yours don't want to. You always have friends no matter what.

7. You don't have to share a room.

The best part is you don't have to share a room with them. Yeah, you have a roommate but you have not been living with your roommate for your whole life. It's good to have that break from each other but they're not far away when you need them.

Many people believe you have to go to a college far away or different from your sibling's. Let me tell you, the best decision I ever made was going to college with my sibling. It is a way better transition. I know many people agree with me when I say you don't choose to be family, but you do get to choose your friends. I can gladly say I am able to go to college with one of my best friends who is also my family.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
