Everyone's favorite little monster knows what it's like to feel at home. No matter how hard we try, our dorms and campus both cannot compare to home sweet home. There's nothing like it! Those of you who were lucky enough to have gone back home can probably agree with me on this one.
Even though most of us have already had our spring break, let's just take some time to revisit the wonderful experience we had for those 7 or more glorious days... and I don't think there's anyone better to reenact your stay than Lilo & Stitch.
1. Realizing you have absolutely no homework or classes for a whole week.
You can't help it but giggle (or maniacally laugh) over the zero assignments listed in your planner.
2. Seeing a fridge not just 1/8 full, but COMPLETELY FULL of yummy food.
And there's even ice cream! Wow, that's a huge privilege, seeing that your dorm's little mini fridge doesn't even have a freezer or if it does, it unevenly freezes things.
3. And then getting to eat all of that said yummy food. No shame, y'all.
Cake, your mom's amazing fajitas, and leftovers? Oh my!
4. Getting to make yourself just about anything you want to eat.
You might as well have a weeklong marathon of your own Food Network show.
5. Going out on the town and enjoying the sun's rays after being trapped by snow for so long.
What is this glorious and warm heat-like orb in the sky?
6. Being adventurous with friends and family.
You may not have surfed, but a refreshing walk in the park or game of basketball seems to be about the same thing.
7. Seeing the high school kids stuck in school all day.
Nostalgia hits and you wonder how you ever survived being trapped in a building for 8 hours straight... and with insanely short holiday breaks.
8. Being 100% yourself with no one judging you.
Binging on Netflix all day? Eating two whole packs of Oreos? No shame.
9. Going to sleep with no alarm set.
Wake up time = whenever your little heart desires.
10. Getting to lay around for however long you want.
Because your day seems to be longer without the pressing responsibilities of school.
11. But then it hits you that the week is almost over.
H-H-How did you not see this coming? Is this real? Please no.
12. On the second to last day you mentally prepare yourself for the last half of the semester.
With summer seeming so close yet so far.
13. The last day arrives and it's full of goodbyes. Tears may be shed or smiles may turn upside down when having to depart your "ohana."
"Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
You never forget where you belong. Whether that be at home or with loved ones - hopefully your spring break consisted of at least one of those things!
