Now days it seems fear and anxiety overwhelm our lives. No matter where we are headed, no matter who we are talking to, no matter what we think about it seems to always come back to fear and anxiety. It seems we are constantly worrying about the things around us. We are constantly stressed out, overwhelmed and fearing something to come. And when we get this way the first thing we should truly do is open our bibles. Trust me I know this is hard to remember sometimes. There are moments I forget to do it. But right now, I have compiled a list of verses for these feelings.
Fear:
Deuteronomy 3:22: “You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:8: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave your or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:13: “For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.””
Psalm 27:1: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Anxiety:
1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
Luke 12:22: “And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on”
Luke 12:25: “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”
Matthew 6:25: “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”
Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
And although sometimes it is so easy to get overwhelmed and be fearful and anxious about everything. We shouldn’t be this way. And although it will not change overnight the most we can do is pray about it and study our bibles. Bookmark this article so next time you feel anxious or fearful you can open this link and study the reminders. Or better yet open your own personal bible and study Gods word. Fold your hands and say a prayer. But whatever you decide to do remember that the Lord is with you and he won’t leave you. And, be reminded that being anxious does you no good. We can’t add an hour onto our lives from being anxious therefore we have no reason to be anxious.
