Why You Should Go For That Thing Your Gut Has Been Convincing You About

Chances are, you're young. Even if you're not, maybe you are still looking to find yourself. Living your day to day trying to figure out what you should do different, is there anything that you should be doing differently?

You constantly dream about a new life, being able to start out in a new place with all new people. My advice to you... go for it. Take the risk, make the jump, because I can almost guarantee you that it will be worth it.

Life is meant to be lived. Make it crazy and make it fun. Do the things that make people say "why would you want to do that?" and then answer "why not?" If you're passionate about something, jump into it wholeheartedly, and don't let the haters sneak into your thoughts. Whether you are living your life to the fullest is for you to alone to decide, and you should do what makes you happy.

I recently moved out of my home state of Louisiana to pursue a degree at Kansas State University. I've been in Manhattan, Kansas for the past three months, and I will tell you it was the best decision I've ever made.

From the first time I visited Manhattan, I knew I wanted to live here. The people, K-State and just the overall feel of the town made me feel like I found my home away from home. Being a 20-year-old in me was ready to take the plunge and make the move, the college student in me was like "what the heck, you need to finish school before you can do this." Over half way through my degree plan, why would I transfer to a new university?

I went through months of arguing with my inner self about making the move. My entire family is in Louisiana, but that doesn't mean I needed to stay. I could just move once I graduated, but I disliked my university and was ready for a change. I told myself that I was young and that there would be time later for big changes, but at the same time, I'm young, why not make a big change?

Flash forward to now, and I cannot even explain how perfect the decision for me to move to MHK was for me. I am now a proud K-State Wildcat pursuing a degree that I love and making relationships that I will keep the rest of my life.

I love my job and all the people that are currently surrounding me. It was scary, to move away from home and leave everything that I've known my entire life, but my decision has paid off in the best way possible. So, even if you're scared, always go for it, because it could be the best decision of your life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
