Yes, Girls Actually Do Love Flowers

It might be cliche, but I don't know a girl in the world who doesn't love receiving a bouquet of fresh flowers. [now's probably the time where you're thinking you need to copy and paste this link and forward it to your special someone and i say.... do it!!!]

So I'm here to help all you guys out and let you know how to do this flower thing perfectly. I know it can be overwhelming because you walk into a flower shop or a grocery store and are utterly overwhelmed with the amount of different flowers and different colors. Any girl would probably love any gift you picked out, but here's some tips to get the most out of your flower buying experience and make you girl's heart leap with happiness.

1. The type of flower is so important. Yes, roses are cliche and probably only not cliche on Valentines Day, just being honest.

Here's 4 types of flowers/greenery that are rare gems to find but oh so beautiful. You don't want your girl to feel like you bought the same bouquet as every other guy, so here's some types to buy to really shake the game up.

1.Peonies

2. Ranunculus

3. Eucalyptus [now maybe don't get her a bouquet just of Eucalyptus, but this greenery can make any flower look so dreamy]

4. Sunflowers-- it seems like recently the male species has definitely caught onto this trend so claps for you dudes!!!!

2. Take her to pick out the flowers. If you live in a big city, chances are there are actual flower shops new year. AND if you're lucky enough to stand in Nashville PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD, take that beautiful girl to Amelia's Flower Truck. And hey, you don't even have to worry about picking out the right flower, because she gets to do it right there.

^THAT is what dreams are made of [well, mine at least].

3. No matter the size, brand, or type of the bouquet... wrap that sucka in some kraft paper!!! It can make your bouquet go from drab to fab in one easy step!!! And it definitely makes it Instagram worthy 😉

4. Flowers aren't just for Valentine's day or Prom-posals, a girl loves fresh flowers sitting in her house or dorm room anytime. And hey, every time she sees them she'll smile and think of you, and you can't really go wrong there.

Hope this little bit of info about the world of flowers and "woo-ing" your special someone helped. Go get 'em, dudes.

Don't have a special someone? Find someone you love, a roommate, a co-worker, or a friend and let's do something special for them just because.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
