Girlmance: It's Cooler Than A Bromance

Why should bros get a cool name and not us.

We often hear guys talking about how they have a bromance with their best friend and how great it is. But what do girls have? We just have the title of best friends? I'm saying NO. We have something cooler and better, we have a girlmance. Yup a girlmance.

Here is my definition of a girlmance: two or more girls who enjoy spending time together, bonding over a multitude of things, seem to always be together (for the most part) and are most likely extremely similar.

But Urban Dictionary said it way cooler "the girl version of a "bromance" or "man date" because we want a cool word instead of "a girl's night out."

There are tons of girlmances. For example Sydney Leroux and Abby Wamback, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Rachel and Monica, Serena and Blaire, Charlotte, Miranda, Carrie and Samantha, Christina and Meredith and SOOOOO many more! Some are pairs other quads it is totally up to you! As long as you love them and would do anything for them that's all that matters.

Often times it is pretty easy to spot a girlmance. You'll see them together A LOT! You may even start asking yourself if they ever leave each other's side. They post about each other, almost every time they post on social media. Just like in "Bridesmaids" you can communicate on your own weird way, sometimes it's even with a single look.

Your parents ask about the other when they call and they find it strange when your other half isn't around. But don't worry, you will have time to yourself and time with other friends. It is just that majority of your time spent in your girlmance.

Our girlmances are just like bromances. The are defined as "a close but nonsexual relationship between two men."

According to Urban dictionaries example it's when "bros" do something nice for each other to help each other out.

News flash girls do that all the time. We share, we give opinions, we are always up for whatever the other wants to do and most of the time we would do anything to save our girlmance. We may fight but let's be real, that's only like once a month and it lasts for maybe at most two minutes.

Girlsmances are important. The more the merrier. So let's keep this word going because who decided bros got a cool name and we didn't. I vote we get a cool nickname and that's girlmance and no one will shut it down. After all it is on Urban Dictionary so I think we win. Girlmance is a real thing and we should keep it that way.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
