Just a Little Thank You

The girl who lit my world and has shown me the world.

Just a Little Thank You
Tatiana Marie Damboise

Dear buddy,

Remember when we met on the bus in middle school? When you stuttered through most of your conversations? When you had brown hair, and not red? Do you remember when we talked about our weddings? When we wanted to go to the same college? Do you remember when we got distant and we got close?

Our high school days feel like forever ago, but our middle school days are when everything came together. When the day on the bus, changed everything. It changed how I looked at friendship. It made me realize that when you find something so important, you hold on to that thing for dear life. Never let go of our friendship. Never let go of our sisterhood.

The days when we have talked lately have felt like I have so much to tell you, so much to catch up on. I feel like everything is changing. I feel like we live in different worlds. We don't talk that much. I have also realized what kind of friendship we have. How much we have gone through already. We both are very passionate people. I believe we have a really thick friendship, one that could do anything and go through anything. As long as by the end of the day we have each other and we know we have each other.

Remember when we met on the bus in middle school? I was thinking that day why are you so nervous. Well, I'm nervous right now. My thoughts are stuttering, my palms against the key board at sweaty. The pauses in between my ideas, are minutes away from stopping them completely. You know im not good with talking about my feelings. You know me better then anyone. You know answers to reasons I dont even know yet. You are literally my world buddy. You have lifted me from the worst places, and you have kept me high in the sky flying with everything I had wished for. Now its my turn.

Dear buddy, dear best friend, the one who has seen me at every perspective and has always believed in me. I am the luckiest girl to have someone since sixth grade. We have connected on every level. Remember when we got into our first argument? You knew something was going to happen that day with your sixth sense. You knew it, you said you were worried about today, because something bad was going to happen. I didn't believe you at first. Then it happened. Our first argument. We didn't talk for like two days, mainly because we both are stubborn.

Whenever I tell someone about my best friend back at home, I feel like I don't praise you enough. Yeah, we have been friends for a very long time. I should say more though. You're my best friend and soul mate. If you have found someone like this. Someone with so much compassion for one person, who has the biggest heart in the whole world. This girl has taught me many things. She has saved lives and hearts. I just wanted to dear best friend, Thank you for being the most amazing girl ever. I will see you soon.

P.S. We have had so many memories, so many moments we have been our happiest. All I can say is, we arent even half way there. If you have a friend who is like this, please, just keep holding on. That person will make you the happiest person ever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
