How To Be A Girl Like A BOSS

There are two ways to live as a woman: you can be a pushover, or you can be a boss.

1. If anyone says you look sick or tired because you aren't wearing makeup, drop kick them

You know you're flawless with or without that eyeliner. If anyone tells you different, you know what needs to happen.

2. If someone asks you a question that you don't like, always respond with another question

If Regina George can slay with the question responses, then so can you.

3. "Treat Yo Self" is not just a holiday, but a daily motto

Make that money and make it rain. On clothes. And food. Or whatever. Just do it.

4. No matter what you are wearing, swing those hips like a rock star

Even if it's sweatpants. Or no pants. Work it, girl.

5. Confront anyone who makes you mad

Demand the respect that you deserve. Life's too short not to.

6. Have breakfast dates with the gal pals

Breakfast food is bae. Squad is bae. Breakfast with squad? Bae.

7. ....and alcohol dates

The best nights are the ones you never remember with the ladies that you'll never forget.

8. Keep your smile big and your sunglasses bigger

No one has to know if your shades are from the dollar store. Rock them anyways.

9. Dance like Bey, even if you can't

If you believe you can move like Bey, you CAN move like Bey.

10. Make eye contact with EVERYONE

It might seem creepy, but it shows you mean business. Trust me.

11. Give people a reason to talk about you

They're going to do it anyway. May as well give them a reason to.

12. Be nice to everyone. It drives them crazy

Especially people that don't like you. It's really fun to crush reasons for other people to not like you.

13. Pick a goal and don't let anyone stop you

Not even a boy. You do you.

14. You're a boss. So slay

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
