To The Girl Who Wants To Focus On Her Career

College. All about parties, boyfriends, finding yourself, etc.

To the girl who doesn't want to party all the time.

Who doesn't want to drink too much, get high, or whatever the hell young adults do these days.

But mostly, to the girl who doesn't really want anything serious yet from the guy she's dating or her now boyfriend.

AND what I mean by "doesn't want anything serious yet", I mean that you are very serious about your studies, what you want to become and you don't really want anything to get in the way of that.

I get it. I really do. I get that you are serious about your studies, i am as well, but just know that you need to have fun as well.

I am very serious on the plan I have for my career and studies and don't really want anything to get in the way of it but I know I have to live a little to.

You have to make life fun, you can't be serious all the time or else you won't enjoy your life so much. AND you might regret you decisions.

Yeah a lot of young adults make stupid decisions, like getting wasted or something else that's stupid but it's okay to do that too. Not all the time but some of the time it's okay. It's okay to do this because you'll have these memories forever. And you'll have fun, it's okay to have and take a break from work, school, your career.

Don't be afraid to be in love because of your future career. Or dont not want to be with anyone because of your plans. You can be with someone and still be dedicated to your career. BUT let whoever your with that your serious about your career.

But overall, have fun! Live to the fullest, laugh your heart out, and love. We only have one life

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
