A front line cast of compelling, clever and rebellious women renascent in a contemporary reboot of the 1984 classic film "Ghostbusters." The project's release date was announced in 2014 by Paul Feig (creator of a generations sensation "Freaks and Geeks." As well as producing and directing box office hits such as; "Bridesmaids", "The Heat" and "Spy").

Although the feedback for the upcoming film was morose cynical and opposed than opinions viewing the originals. If you couldn't have predicted the reasoning's of the downfall of the remake before it had even been premiered in theaters, then I'll tell you, because it's staring everyone right in the face. The geek culture of hardcore 'fanboys' rushed towards bias judgement bashing the casting. All women? Serving a purpose in a film that isn't a love interest or secondary role? Nonsense, this movie must suck.Look at the originals! All males! There is no way this could even compare!

And they're right. There is no way this could even compare to the originals (There's a special place in my heart for Bill Murray.). But, that goes for any remake of any film. The amount of motion pictures that have been reproduced in the last decade rarely compare to the originals. Examples just from the last few years; "Planet of the Apes", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Batman" ... Disney has been replicating their films into live-actions at a rate that's hysterical. 'Cinderella', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'The Jungle Book', 'Pete's Dragon', pop-culture has been formed into remakes. However, why have none of the mentioned remakes been bashed as harshly as the 2016 Ghostbusters?

The cruel and bitter criticism directed at these powerful women is just because of that ... they're powerful. They're on a platform women are not usually placed upon. Feig's reboot actually offers something different that puts the these fallen dormant fanboys on edge. I guarantee that if the cast had been issued as all male (again) with actors that are well-known in the Sci-Fi industry (Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac, etc ... ) then would have been less issues. There would have been more agreements on the movies trailers than disagreements. Most of these people complaining about the 'problems' this movie contains, haven't even taken the time to watch it because it's "not worth buying a ticket for.". Even though the box office has seen brighter day's for the brand, it ranked in $158.2 million. These complaints given are logically flimsy. They are saying the idea of a female cast is just somehow wrong.

But, everything is right, or at least, trying it's best to be right. The characters personality's are not secondary or trying too hard to be important-heard. If there's anything, it's paying tribute to the 1980s blockbuster with it's silly one-liners and squeezed in cameo's of the OG's (Original Ghostbusters ... duh.). It's unapologetic, combining girl-power, science, and Chris Hemsworth (because this isn't about hating men. Who said I couldn't enjoy that a male was in the film?) in a positive, badass, fun film that I will undoubtedly be showing my future daughter someday, because Ghostbusters can be women. And I would much rather influence my daughter to be a Ghostbuster than just a secondary, pretty face.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
